International Master Jennifer Shahade

IM Jennifer Shahade (b. December 31, 1980) discovered chess through her father Michael. She likes the emotional intensity of the game and the joys of a critical win or a brilliant combination.

Chess is an endless challenge for Jenny and a faithful remedy against existential crisis. Her biggest chess accomplishments are U.S. Junior Open Champion in 1998 and a steadily improving record in the U.S. Women's Championship, all the way to first place.
