Woman FIDE Master Olga Sagalchik

WFM Olga Sagalchick was born on April 3, 1967 and lives in Brooklyn, N.Y. with her husband, GM Gennady Sagalchik and their chess-playing daughters Caroline and Michelle.

Olga was born in Belarus where she was introduced to the game by her first chess coach Max Kazdan who trained her for seven years. The efforts paid off with her becoming Women's Champion of Belarus in 1991. In 1996, she also gained the title of New York State Women's Champion.
