Woman International Master Anna Hahn

WIM Anna Hahn was born on June 21st, 1976. Her achievements include winning the Latvian Women's Championship in 1992 and winning the US Women's Championship in 2003. After moving to the U.S., she tied for the 2nd place in the World Girl's Championship in 1993. She played on the 2nd board for the US Women's Olympic team in Turkey (Istanbul), and took part in the World Women's Championships in India (New Delhi) and Russia (Elista).

She enjoys chess because of the excitement of winning and coming up with new ideas. Besides chess, she enjoys dancing and attends a lot of concerts and performances. In other sports, her interests are in tennis and rollerblading. In December 1998 she graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Computer Science. Currently, she lives in Manhattan and works at a hedge fund as a trader.
