FIDE Master Jennie Frenklakh

FM Jennie Frenklakh (b. May 4,1980) learned chess back in her native country of Belarus from her father when she was four years old and competed in her very first tournament at the age of six.

Jennie likes chess because it teaches many of life's important lessons, such as to think twice before making major decisions and committing yourself to something and to be patient and careful. Also to aim high, have a plan, and always strive towards accomplishing your goal. Chess has also given her opportunities to meet interesting people, make life-long friendships, and travel to some of the most exotic locations of the world.

Jennie represented the U.S. six times at the World Junior Chess Championships, finishing second in the 1997. She won the ThinkQuest Global Internet Competition for designing the Chess Dominion, an interactive, educational chess website.
